A new display has been unveiled at the British Golf Museum to accompany an exhibition celebrating The Royal and Ancient Golf Club's 250th Anniversary. The display features gifts presented to the Club during the recent celebrations.

The celebrations took place between the 14th May until the 13th June, with a two storey marquee erected beside the clubhouse used to stage many of the events including the Dinners. Representatives from golf clubs and associations from over 100 countries around the world were invited to attend the events in St. Andrews. Many of the guests brought gifts to congratulate the Club on its 250th birthday, representing the high esteem in which it is held.

The range of gifts on display is vast including paintings, clocks, silverware, crystal and sculptures. Sam Groves, Curator, commented, "We are delighted to be involved in celebrating this unique occasion. The gifts mark not only the importance of the event but also the generosity of the guests." The exhibition will remain on display until early 2005.
