The British Golf Museum launches The Open Championship Trail this weekend, with free entry on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 May.

Continuing a year of 20th Anniversary celebrations at the museum, we are pleased to introduce our new guide, which will help visitors as they journey through 150 years of Open history.

The Open Trail highlights some of the amazing objects on display, revealing fascinating stories from the Championship and the Champions who make it so memorable.

Items featured include Tommy Morris Jr's 1872 Gold Medal, the first medal presented to a winner of The Open and the wedge used by Seve Ballesteros when he won at Lytham in 1988. Seve described his fourth-round 65 as 'the best round of my life'. Artistic imagery shows the objects from new perspectives, complemented by an Open Championship timeline.

The Trail, which is free for every museum visitor, makes a wonderful commemorative souvenir. It has been produced specially for 2010 to mark the 150th Anniversary of The Open Championship.

We look forward to welcoming you to the museum this Friday and Saturday to continue our anniversary celebrations.
