Over the years, many well known golfers have been forgotten: This gallery brings to life many of these unsung heroes, looking at their achievements through artwork, medals and clubs.

In addition, the rise of early amateur tournaments is traced and an opportunity to follow the early professionals as they play in tournaments staged in the days before the start of the Open Championship is provided.
