To celebrate the 19th Birthday of the British Golf Museum we are welcoming visitors for FREE on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September.
After officially opening to great critical acclaim on 19th September 1990, the museum won 7 major awards. We recently retained our five star status, one of only seven museums in Scotland to do so. To reach the five star standard in the Scottish Tourist Board’s Visitor Attractions Grading Scheme, we maintain the highest levels of displays, customer service and retail. After 19 years the British Golf Museum is still ahead of the game with its innovations and you can see the results for free this weekend.
The British Golf Museum tells the story of golf from the Middle Ages to the present day. New for 2009 is a special display dedicated to golf and its Olympic history. With hands on activities and stunning multimedia displays there is something to entertain all the family. You can practice your putting in the 18th Hole using replica clubs from the last 175 years and try on period golf costume.
A visit to the British Golf Museum provides the perfect break from playing golf.
